San Francesco
The 14th-century, Arab-inspired cloisters are celebrated every summer with song at the church of San Francesco. Its arches and columns create an evocative atmosphere for the city's annual music festival, and familiar songs sound even more beautiful than usual. The 16th century portal is also a point of interest, as is the church's altarpiece, which depicts St. Francis receiving the Stigmata.
